This guide demonstrates the steps to adding and updating Product Types via the ePOS Hybrid Admin Panel.
Updating Product Types is helpful in Stock Management for creating and managing Delivery Notes, Purchase Orders and Stock Takes.
Before proceeding with adding your Product Types, ensure that the relevant Stock Categories are in place. Follow the steps in the ePOS Academy Stock Category Guide for guidance.
Once your Stock Categories are in place, log in to your Admin Panel and select Stock Management, followed by Manage Product Type.
The Product Type screen will open, with all created product types listed.

To create a new product type, click the green + Add Product Type button on the top-right corner of the page.
Once clicked, the Add Product Type pop-up will appear, allowing you to enter the name of the new product type.
After the Name has been entered, click the Select Category dropdown box to select the relevant Stock Category to ensure the product is associated with the correct category.

Once the relevant fields are entered, click Submit to return to the Product Type screen with a confirmation message advising that the new Product Type has been entered.

The Search by Product Type and Search by Category text box can be used to filter the available options if a large number of product types are available.
The Status column will show whether a product type is Active or Inactive. Click the relevant button to deactivate or reactivate the product type accordingly. The Action column includes an Edit button to edit the product type name and stock category, and the Delete button allows the product type to be deleted.
