Mobile App Push Notifications Guide

In this guide, we will cover the steps to setting up Mobile App Push Notifications via the ePOS Hybrid Admin Panel.

Push Notifications are a helpful way to let customers who have your mobile app know about any new Menu Items, Promotions or any other important messages.

To set up your Push Notifications, log on to your Admin Panel at https://www.eposhybrid.uk/ or via the ePOS Hybrid Operator App.

Once logged in, select Web & Mob Management, followed by Mobile App Notifications.

The Mobile App Notifications screen will now open, allowing you to write the content for your Push Notifications.

The text entered in the Notification Title textbox will display as the top level of text when customers receive the notification on their device - it is best to keep the Notification Title short as a headline to ensure customers can read this as clearly as possible.

The Notification Content textbox allows more text to be added as the main body of text within the Push Notification - in addition to adding text, emoji can be selected also by selecting the smiley face icon on the right-hand side of the textbox to open the emoji pop-up:

While there is a 1000-character limit for Notification Content, it is best to also keep this text relatively short to ensure customers with smaller screens are able to read the full notification. An example is available at the end of this guide to demonstrate.

The Total Customers section listed underneath will detail the number of customers who have your Mobile Apps.

After you have entered the Notification Title and Notification Content textboxes with the relevant text and are ready to send the notification, click the Send button.

Click Yes to send the Push Notification to your customers.

Once the notification has been sent, the content will move to the Previously Sent Notifications section of the screen, which displays all previous notifications sent to customers. This includes the Notification Title, Notification Content, Notification Date and Number of Customers that the notification was sent to.

After the Push Notification has been sent, customers will receive their notification per the example below, with your Mobile App Logo appearing on the notification itself also.
