In order to add kitchen printers and displays using the ePOS Hybrid Operator App, please follow the below steps:
When logged into your Operator App, select the Extras button:
Scroll down to the bottom of the Extras page and select Kitchen Settings to set up your Kitchen Printers and Kitchen Displays:
Once on the Kitchen Settings page, you will see a list of your active Kitchen Printers and Kitchen Displays in the Kitchen Configuration tab. To add a new printer or display, press the green Add Kitchen Printer button on this page.
Once Add Kitchen Printer is selected, you will receive the following drop-down options: Kitchen Printer, Waiter Printer, Label Printer and Kitchen Display. Please select the corresponding printer/display you wish to add, add a name to this display/printer and select the appropriate model (for printers), then tap Submit to add your printer/display (example below).
After adding your chosen printer/display, press the red Save/Update Kitchens button on the top right corner of the screen, and this will add your chosen device.
Kitchen Setup For Items Guide
If you have multiple preparation areas and wish to separate menu items across these areas - and have a kitchen printer or display in each area - select the Kitchen Setup For Items tab.
Using this functionality, you can assign specific menus, subcategories and specific menu items to your chosen printer/display. As per the below screenshot, the toggle in blue means that menu/category/item is assigned to the corresponding printer/display, while greyed out printers/displays are not assigned to the chosen menu/category/item.
To expand each menu or category, tap the menu/category name (highlighted in blue) and this will show all categories in that menu, and all items in that category once selected, as per the below screenshots.
Once you have chosen which menus, categories or items are assigned to specific kitchen printers or displays, tap the red Update Kitchens button, as this will update these changes and ensure going forward the items are assigned per your instructions.
