Equal Opportunity Policy

iHybrid Limited is fully committed to operating in a non-discriminatory manner in all aspects of the Company’s activities. The Company is committed to encouraging diversity and eliminating discrimination in both its role as an employer and as a provider of services. We aim to create a culture that respects and values each other’s differences, that promotes dignity, equality and diversity, and that encourages individuals to develop and maximise their true potential. We are committed wherever practicable to achieving and maintaining a workforce that broadly reflects the local community.

We strive to provide equality and fairness for all employees, and in the provision of services, and to ensure that we do not discriminate on the grounds of gender, gender reassignment, marital status, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, religion and belief, or age. We oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination. All our employees, whether part-time, full-time or temporary, will be treated fairly and with respect. Selection for employment, promotion, training, redundancy, or any other benefit will be on the basis of skills and ability.

For employee recruitment and selection, to eliminate possibilities of discrimination or prejudice prior to interview, employment application forms do not include questions concerning race or ethnic origin, creed, colour, religion, political affiliation, parenthood or sexual orientation. Thereafter, employee selection criteria will proceed purely according to the merits and abilities of the candidate to perform the tasks and duties listed in the relevant job description. Employee recruitment and selection procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure that the elements of this policy are maintained.

Implementation and management of this policy is the overall responsibility of all management. In addition, the Company shall aim to make reasonable adjustments in cases where working arrangements or physical features of premises cause substantial disadvantage for a person with a disability. In this respect, employees with physical disabilities will only be prohibited from positions where the job duties involve activities which would make it impossible or inherently hazardous to perform.

iHybrid Limited maintains a neutral working environment in which no employee feels under threat or intimidation. Therefore, the Company does not permit the display of flags, emblems, posters or other similar material, or the circulation of literature, or the deliberate articulation of slogans or songs which may give offence or cause apprehension to any employee or service user.

Should an employee believe they have experienced harassment, bullying or discrimination then they should seek advice immediately and report to their line manager. The employee may either attempt to resolve the matter informally or invoke the formal complaint procedure detailed in the employee handbook. All cases will be taken seriously, dealt with quickly and treated with the utmost confidence. Whilst we do not wish to deter individuals who wish to make genuine complaints, it should be noted that vindictive or vexatious complaints will be viewed seriously and will be dealt with under the disciplinary procedure.

The Company will maintain and review employment records of all employees to assess the effectiveness of this policy, and enable any changes to be made when necessary. All records are held in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
