Sales Manager

Responsibilities

From day one, you’ll be an absolute rockstar. You’ll bring fresh new ideas on how to elevate our sales activity and you’ll work with our Management Team to develop and deploy record breaking sales campaigns. We’ll need you to:

  • Be fully responsible for the day to day running of our sales department, taking ownership of everything from setting targets and KPIs to launching sales campaigns and co-ordinating full team pipelines
  • Manage a growing team of Sales Executives, including daily leadership & pipeline coordination, recruitment, discipline and coaching. You’ll motivate and inspire your team and lead by example to ensure success
  • Come up with exciting new sales strategies, identify areas of opportunity, develop and launch sales campaigns and lead the department to achieve month-on-month sales growth
  • Work closely with our Marketing Manager to enhance the quality of all inbound leads (MQLs) by providing accurate reporting on % close rates from varying channels
  • Manage all inbound and outbound sales activity, quickly identifying areas of success or failure and reacting accordingly
  • Work with our Head of Growth and Marketing Manager to develop and launch an enterprise sales strategy and be responsible for managing and closing all enterprise and large sale prospects
  • You’ll be responsible for proactively identifying, qualifying, and closing your own sales revenue. You’ll generate new leads through outbound channels and pursue qualified leads provided by the marketing team
  • Effectively track and manage all sale prospects from different channels within our CRM, ensuring your team is following best practices and utilising the tools correctly
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and coordinate with senior management to discuss departmental progress towards pre-agreed targets
  • Monitor key performance indicators and be responsible for ensuring both the necessary volume and quality of calls is continually achieved

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience managing, coaching and recruiting a successful sales team, preferably in B2B
  • Proven experience in prospecting, pipeline management and closing large opportunities
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, preferably in Hubspot
  • Strong communicator, you’ll be able to motivate and inspire your sales team whilst maintaining high standards and discipline
  • Experience in sale strategy development and implementation
  • Experience in mentoring, training and empowering individual team members
  • A determination to help rapidly scale the business
  • A strong level of business acumen with the ability to work under pressure and use your own initiative
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills
  • Solid negotiation and influencing skills
  • You’ll be self-motivated, results driven with a mind-set for continuous development
  • Based in Edinburgh or within commutable distance to our office
  • A go getter, ready to take over the world with epic sales leadership


Beneficial skills

You’ll get bonus points if you have the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t, we will provide a full training program and will give you on-going support:

  • Experience with Hubspot CRM
  • Working knowledge of automated prospecting tools
  • Experience in enterprise sales tendering
  • International sales experience and knowledge of new market penetration
  • SaaS and Fintech sales experience
  • Experience in B2B sales
